Denie Mack was my brother Ed's first wife. They married right after college and lived in Florida until my brother had his heart trouble. They moved to Beltsville Md and Denie discovered she had ovarian cancer. She and my brother, Ed, and their children, David and Laurie, used to come up on many weekends to visit us in Westminster, or we would go to their home in Beltsville. Some of my best memories are of both of our families getting Christmas trees together, flying kites at our house on the hill and spending holidays together. For just over five years, she endured surgeries, medical procedures and chemotherapy, to have more time with her children. I will always admire her courage and positive attitude about life.

She died at their home in Beltsville, with all of us there, November 1, 1991 at the age of 37.
