This page has some full old recordings of my singing many years ago, from the earliest cassettes that I have located. There is a mix of church and secular music as well as some of the JKL Trio (that's Judy, Kay & Lillian) and Price Family early beginnings. There are also some songs where my boys sang with me, when they were quite young. You will hear laughter and tons of mistakes but we had such fun! Most were recorded on an old large cassette deck by me during rehearsals for church or get togethers for fun. Quite a few were recorded by my parents at their home with family and friends.
Some of the songs are of me as a duet or trio, I will label who is singing in each song. I would record the melody and piano first. Then I would take that cassette across the living room to my cassette-stereo system and play it back very loud. And then I would sing with the cassette and record it again on the smaller portable cassette player. Then I would swap the newest cassette with the original in the stereo system, play it again and record a 3rd voice harmony on the original cassette. So you get alot of hollow or echo sound in the recording. I was ahead of my time, no doubt. But it was fun! I will label each one as to who or what it is as much as possible.
