Hurricane Isabel
September 18, 2003

Visitor Number Hit Counter since September 15, 2005

We knew ahead of time that the storm was coming. How bad could it really be? I've lived on the East Coast all of my life and have been thru several tropical storms and small hurricanes as a child. I made some preparations, but not nearly enough. Not for a Category 1 hurricane. Winds clocked in our area at a minimum sustained 84 mph with gusts over 100 mph!

Below are some photos of the storm and damages. And you can read my journal
that I kept about beforehand, during and the aftermath of Hurricane Isabel.
